Ladle Shrouds, with a standard oxidation protection liner at the CNT area, are designed to function without pre-heating. This cold-start functionality is guaranteed by a special anti-spalling liner. If needed, then slagline protection can be provided. There is a range of main body material choice depending on the steel composition and desired length of casting sequence. Nitrogen pick-up can be reduced by argon protection, which is provided through a metallic can system.
